By Seed |
Fresh seeds seem to be important. Once the seeds are fully dry, we see 0% germination, and we have tested hundreds of seeds. When fresh, germiantion is fast (a week +/-) and growth begins quick. Older seeds may take longer, in which case fungus can become an issue. It is commonly sugested to use a sterile mix to prevent this, not needed if seeds are fresh (less than a few months). Older seeds are probably best treated with a good fungicide before sowing. We like a mix of about 50% sand and 50% coco coir for germinating. They should be kept slightly moist and never dry.
